About Us

Montessori Learning Center in Orange, California

Shepherd Montessori Learning Center is a Montessori Learning Center in Orange, California that has a Montessori Curriculum. We strive to give your child the best education they can get with our highly qualified and certified teachers in our welcoming and comfortable facility.
The Montessori Curriculum

SMLC provides a quality program and activities in observing total balanced early childhood. We strive to interact with each child under our care in positive ways and support them through provision of appropriate supplementary study materials that are carefully planned each month by the teachers based on Montessori education and on the child’s pace of learning to grow healthy – emotionally, socially, and mentally.

We concentrate on teaching subjects that help develop talent other than academic skills. (Music, Art, Dance, and Physical Education)

  • We provide well-structured bilingual programs with highly qualified teachers.
  • We provide youngsters means and ways to advance in their upcoming levels of education.
  • We have many children with different cultural backgrounds studying together.

In Shepherd Montessori Learning Center, your children will be grouped in ages; 0-3 years and 3-6 years. This approach will ensure constant interaction and teacher independence that will encourage child-to-child teaching and problem solving. Children will be free to roam around the classrooms instead of staying in their desks. We do not limit the time for how long a child will work with a material.

Subjects like math, science, language, history, art, music, etc., will be studied in and throughout the day, but it will be at their own unique pace. Our teaching methods do not include scores, written corrections, and rewards or punishments. The teacher will assess each child through keen observation and record-keeping; individual projects are given from time to time in order to let the child learn what needs to be improved.
